 Our Story

Helpful. Experienced. Patient. Knowledgeable.

My degree and post-graduate work is in human social services, but my whole life I've had unique experiences and strong connections with animals.

I earned my dog training certification through Animal Behavior College. After graduation I was fortunate to partner alongside my generous and capable ABC externship mentor-turned-colleague for several years. I have worked one-on-one with dogs and their humans of all ages. I also teach group classes at a local dog training club and work as a Certified Veterinary Assistant at an emergency veterinary hospital.

My gift and passion is to protect and advocate for all animals. That unshakable fiduciary commitment began for me as a child, intensified as I got older, and lends itself to the way I approach working with my students and their humans. I became a certified "Dog Guide" because I believe each dog is a valuable individual, one who should be cherished and given every possible chance at a happy life.

When we work together with your dog I will emphasize moving at their pace (not ours), understanding your dog's body language, and being as mindful as possible of their perspective. In my experience there are many ways to ask for and to elicit good manners from our dogs. As well, there are solid methods to ward off and to address some of those behaviors we find less than desirable. Together we will be setting your dog up for success throughout the rest of their life.

Aldy & LuLu's Dog Gone Issues is tailor-made with both you and your dog in mind to provide lifelong empathetic and knowledgeable enrichment for both of you. It’s never too late to teach your dog new behaviors, and I believe in working as much with you as with your pet.

"Aldy & LuLu's" is named after my deceased brother Andrew, whom I adored. As his pesky baby sister I had an invisible friend named "LuLu" who pronounced Andy as "Aldy" in her made up language. I called him "Aldy" my whole life... (Andrew Patrick Pecosh, 01JUL72-03SEP17)
